Poetry : The ever-changing reality

Dreams and daylight
Seeing beyond gravity.
We grasp at what our eyes see
Neglecting what we feel.
All at once my stability disappears.

With simple words
And innocent actions
You touch my world.
You change my perspective.
You make me want to be a better person.
You affect me.

I was a fool.
To think I could live without You.
Floundering, almost drowning, amidst dark depths of loneliness.
No more do I swim that far
But in order to succeed
Give your all.
Take nothing back.
Leave nothing for yourself.

It is the mists we cling to
We cannot see beyond our noses
It’s all us.
What happens when the fog clears?
